Thorold approves a tax increase for 2017 budget
Thorold residents will see tax increase this year.
Councillors approving the 1.7 per cent tax increase for the city portion of the residential tax bill for 2017.
Highlights of the budget include 5.7 million in road work, 1.3 million in transit money and 1.3 million worth of improvements to the Thorold Arena.
The 2017 Water and Sewer Budget will be presented in March and will provide additional information on improvements to those related services.
