Thorold high school teacher wins award
A teacher from Thorold Secondary School is being recognized for his commitment to students and technological education.
Mike Doyle has been teaching for 26 and was recently awarded the Ontario Council for Technology Education's Excellence in Teaching Award.
It comes with a $500 bursary to support the postsecondary journey of a student he chooses.
He is currently the technology program lead at Thorold Secondary, coordinated the Specialist High Skills Majors manufacturing program, and launched a program sending students overseas to build homes with Habitat for Humanity.
