Thousands of drivers busted in Rhode Island school zone speed blitz
A new school zone speed camera in Rhode Island proving drivers go way too fast in school zones.
Thanks to the camera the city issued 12,000 speeding tickets in the first 33 days of the program.
Tickets are issued to anyone going more than 17 km/h over the speed limit..
At $95 dollars a ticket the total comes to $1.5 million.
The city plans to install six more cameras in the coming week.
