Three funerals today in three Saskatchewan towns for victims of bus crash
Funerals will be held in three Saskatchewan towns today for victims of last Friday's Humboldt Broncos bus crash.
Nineteen-year-old forward Jacob Leicht will be laid to rest in Humboldt, the service for 59-year-old team bus driver Glen Doerksen is set for Carrot River, and the funeral for 16-year-old Adam Herold will be held in Montmartre (MOH'-mart).
Herold would have turned 17 yesterday, and last night family and friends went out snowmobiling, which was one of his favourite activities.
More than 125 people on more than 70 snowmobiles then sat on hay bales around a fire and had a birthday cake with the teen's picture on it.
meantime, the GoFundMe page set up to help the families of victims reached $10.3 million this morning
Sylvie Kellington, who set up the page, says they will be working around the clock on a plan for fund allocation.
