Another black eye for Tim Hortons.
The company has issued an apology after word a Nova Scotia franchisee did not plan to send the proceeds from the sale of doughnuts in the Humboldt Broncos' colours to the team.
Tim's is now launching a national campaign to support the junior hockey team involved in a tragic bus crash last Friday that killed 15 people and injured 14 others.
The company also posting the following message on its website "Together with our Restaurant Owners, Tim Hortons sends its thoughts and prayers to the Humboldt Broncos, their families and the entire community impacted by this unimaginable tragedy. To help support those affected, Tim Hortons is making a donation of $50,000 to the Humboldt Broncos Hockey Club."
