Today is World Water Day
Communities around the globe will be marking World Water Day.
The day began in 1993 and it is now celebrated around the globe shining a spotlight on the importance of freshwater.
This year's theme highlights the need to reduce and reuse wastewater.
According to the United Nations, 1.8 billion people use drinking water sources that are contaminated putting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid and polio.
