Toronto man arrested on drug trafficking charges in Niagara Falls

A Toronto man has been arrested in a Niagara Falls parking lot on drug trafficking charges.

Niagara Regional Police officials say they have been keeping tabs on the man for several months as they suspected he was coming into the region to sell fentanyl.

Officers arrested the driver of a car and a passenger inside, seizing $5,640 worth of fentanyl, $2,650 in cash, and several weapons.

31 year old Marvin Whyte of Toronto is facing several charges including trafficking a controlled substance.

24 year old Mariah Wickenden of Niagara Falls is facing possession and weapons charges.
