TRAFFIC | QEW back open following crash in St.Catharines
Some encouraging news following a crash that closed the QEW Fort Erie bound at Martindale in St.Catharines.
OPP now saying the highway has re-opened and the motorcyclist suffered only minor injuries.
The crash happened at 6 o'clock this morning when the motorcycle slammed into the back of a transport truck.
The motorcycle driver was airlifted to hospital, and the QEW was shut down with traffic directed off at the 406.
The closure sparked traffic chaos on the QEW, 406, and city roads especially the Fourth Ave. area.
The highway re-opened at 11:15 a.m.
