Trump's biometric checks would cause 'massive delays' at Canadian border
The general manager of the Peace Bridge Authority says Donald Trump's plan to use biometric checks, like fingerprints or iris scans, would cause massive backups at the Canadian border.
Ron Reinas tells the Buffalo News this would "devastate Western New York."
He says it would shutdown the border and makes no sense.
Rienas says the logistical problems would be immense. Border crossings would take longer and new booths would be needed to perform the tests.
He predicts the traffic would be so bad that Canadians would stop coming to Buffalo for Bills and Sabres games.
He tells the newspaper, "our traffic would drop like a stone."
