Two elderly women struck by their own car
A woman in her 90s is fighting for her life and her friend in her 80s has serious injuries, after the pair were hit by their own car while leaving church.
The freak incident happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of St Luke's Anglican Church in Oakville.
Halton Police say the women were leaving an event and somehow the vehicle ended up stuck on the curb.
The 92 year-old woman in the passenger seat stepped out and the driver opened the door and fell out.
Police say the driver lost control while trying to dislodge the car from the curb.
The older passenger is in life threatening condition in hospital
