Two St. Catharines residents facing trafficking charges

Two residents from St. Catharines are facing charges after police say they seized around $26,000 in illegal drugs.

A Canada Wide parole warrant was issued for 30 year old Jonathan Whalen on Tuesday.

By 4:30 that afternoon, police were able to arrest him without incident. 

During the arrest officers say they found a large quantity of suspected crystal meth, heroin, and fentanyl powder.

The Street Crime Unit was then given authorization to search the man's home.

During the investigation police seized more suspected drugs including cocaine and marijuana, two prohibited weapons, and more than $4,000 in cash.

28 year old Hannah Tice of St. Catharines is also facing possession charges.


30 year old Jonathan WHALEN of St. Catharines is charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x7
Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000 x 2
Numerous Parole Violations

28 year old Hannah TICE of St. Catharines is charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
