Two teens arrested in connection with a flurry of vandalism acts in St. Catharines

Following a slews of incidents involving vandalism in the Western Hill area of St. Catharines Niagara Police have arrested two teens. 

NRP say a number of vehicles and homes were spray painted causing thousands of dollars in damage.  

Two 14 year old boys from St. Catharines are each facing a charge of mischief over $5,000. 

Both have been released from custody with future court dates. 

The pair arrested are charged in connection to the following list of incidents. 

1. While walking by a residence in the area of Welstead Dr. and Mac Turnbull Dr. spray painted a Dodge Caravan parked in a driveway.  Damage was estimated at $200 (2017-113575).

2. While walking by a residence in the area of Welstead Dr. and Mac Turnbull Dr. spray painted a white BMW parked in a driveway.  Damage was estimated at $200 (2017-113590).

3. While walking by a residence in the area of Damson St.  and Shaver Rd. spray painted a brick wall on the side of home.  Damage was estimated at $500 (2017-113602).

4. While walking by a property in the area of Vansickle Rd. and McIntyre Ave. spray painted a Ford van and a Chevrolet Equinox parked on the property.  Damage was estimated at $1000 and $700 respectively (2017-113721)

5. While walking by a residence in the area of Damson St. and Justin Cr. spray painted a wooden fence near a home.  Damage was estimated at a $500 (2017-114315).

6. While walking by a residence in the area of Agincourt Cr. and Welstead Dr. spray painted a Chrysler SUV parked in a driveway.  Damage was estimated at $200 (2017-114507).

7. While walking by a residence in the area of Agincourt Cr. and Welstead Dr. spray painted a brick wall on the side of a home.  Damage was estimated at $500 (2017-114553).

8. While walking by a residence in the area of Agincourt Cr. and Welstead Dr. spray painted a Dodge Caravan parked in a driveway.  Damage was estimated at $700 (2017-114508).

On November 26, 2017, at approximately 6:23PM, the males entered a property in the area of Vansickle Dr. and McIntyre Ave. in St. Catharines. While on the property the males are alleged to have spray painted the building, broken a window, damaged patio furniture, damaged door handles and electrical outlets.  Damage was estimated at approximately $2000 (2017-114224).
