Update #2: Catholic High School warns there could be after school delays
Angry parents took to social media this morning to air their frustrations after Niagara's Catholic High school students were greeted with picket lines set up by the locked out Elementary teachers.
CKTB news recieved complaints from parents who said buses were prevented from entering all Niagara Region Catholic High Schools Friday morning.
The Catholic school board issued a statement saying they were made aware that OECTA members intended to disrupt board operations and that they are concerned about the actions taken this morning.
Parents of students at St. Paul Catholic High School were warned just before 6:30 this morning that there could be picket lines at the school.
The email blast to parents advised that all programming would run as usual.
School administration adding they do not expect that there will be pickets set up in the afternoon during student departure, but if there is, they plan to follow the protocol used this morning and are asking for patience and understanding.
All Catholic High schools in Niagara were the scene of picket lines this morning.
A call out to the union for comment on today's action has gone unanswered.
