UPDATE | Discussion on governance reform at Niagara Region Headquarters

It would appear how Niagara is governed isn't top of mind for many residents.

Two provincially appointed special advisors, tasked with reviewing the remaining two tier municipal government systems in Ontario, stopped in Niagara yesterday to hear from local residents, businesses and groups.

They scheduled a seven hour meeting, but it was cut to just four hours, when fewer than expected people signed up to speak on whether or not they want Niagara to amalgamate.

Special advisor Ken Seiling says, while nothing has been decided, everything is on the table.
