Watchdog to be set up to review public complaints about Canada Customs officers
Ottawa is moving to set up a process to review complaints filed against customs officers at the border.
The move comes at the recommendation of a federally commissioned report that urged the government to establish a watchdog to handle complaints from the public.
In recent years there have been calls from civil libertarians and lawyers representing refugees for stronger monitoring of border guards.
