Welland couple charged in death of dog

Niagara police and the Welland SPCA went to home after receiving information about an injured animal yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

Police say the dog, an American Eskimo, died from his injuries.

It's been taken to the University of Guelph for a necropsy.

Police have charged Jeffery Tisi and Krhystina Paonessa with causing unneccesary suffering to an animal.

Both will appear in court Saturday.
