Welland driver charged as police recover body from Lake Ontario
A 22 year old Welland man is facing impaired driving charges after police say a person was killed when a vehicle drove through a guard rail and into Lake Ontario.
Halton Police were called to the Maple Grove Drive area of Oakville just after 3 a.m. yesterday morning as residents reported a man knocking on doors.
Shortly after, officers found a man near a collision site on the dead end street.
Aaron Dobbs has been arrested and charged with Impaired Driving Causing Death and Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample.
The body of a 27 year old man from Mississauga was recovered by police from the Lake Ontario shore. Police say he was a passenger in the vehicle.
Dobbs will be in court for a bail hearing today.
