Welland mom denied access to daughter
A Welland mother who made headlines after an Amber Alert was issued for her daughter last month has been denied access to her child.
Allana Haist, who fled the area with her daughter, has not seen Layla since she turned herself in December 12th after fleeing to Hamilton.
Appearing in a Welland court yesterday, Haist was told by a judge there is no reason at this time to grant her supervised visits with her daughter.
Layla's paternal aunt has temporary custody of the nine year old girl while her parents custody battle plays out in court.
Another hearing is set for January 23rd.
