Wellanders come out against boating proposal
If the first public meeting on the issue was any indication, there isn't a lot of support in Welland for a proposal to allow motorized boats back on the Recreational Waterway.
About 80 people showed up at a public meeting on the issue over the weekend.
The majority came out against the plan to change the city's Go Quiet bylaw banning motorized craft on the old canal.
The next public meeting is set for Thursday at 7 pm at the Wellness Complex.
