Will Doug Ford cut thousands of teaching jobs?

The Toronto Star reporting the Ford government is planning to cut thousands of teaching positions.

The Star, citing an education ministry memo, says the province is considering cutting 3475 teaching positions over the next four years in order to save 72 million dollars.

Apparently details of the plan to phase out the jobs starting this fall have been sent to school boards.

Yesterday, thousands of high school students walked out of class across Ontario to protest Ford's education cuts.
