Witness to Al-Hasnawi murder described as vulnerable and afraid
Hamilton police describe a witness in the shooting death of a 19 year old Good Samaritan as vulnerable and afraid.
Yesterday, police finally interviewed the man who Yosif Al-Hasnawi tried to help the night in December he was shot and killed.
While officers aren't divulging the content of the interview, they tell the CBC he was a difficult person to find, transient by nature, who paid cash for all his purchases.
He is also described as not strong with a somewhat diminished mental capacity which officials say adds to the evidence that Al-Hasnawi was killed while trying to protect him from two men who were verbally abusing the older man.
Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of the Brock University student.
