Bowling success

The numbers are in and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton had another successful Bowl For Kids Sake.

Nearly 33 thousand dollars was raised through the two events, one at Strike Point Bowling in Lindsay on February 24th and the other at Fast Lane in Minden last weekend.

The top individual fundraisers were Kelly Moore from Minden Lions Club who raised 11 hundred and forty dollars and right behind was Veronica Wickens from Omemee Lions Club raising  11 hundred and thirty five.

The top team was the Lindsay & District Labour Council raising nearly 25 hundred with two teams from the the Kinsmen Club of Lindsay raising almost 24 hundred.

The funds raised remain in the community to support one to one mentoring programs through Big Brothers, Big Sisters, that assist children with reaching their full potential.
