Enbridge Gas update

Enbridge Gas continues with the natural gas expansion project to Cambray, Cameron and  Fenelon Falls.

An update from the company says that Hwy 121 to Ranchers Rd. and then to King St. and from Taylors Rd. to Hwy 35, the natural gas main has been energized which means gas is flowing through the pipeline.

Enbridge says you may briefly notice the smell of natural gas - which sometimes smells like rotten eggs - as gas begins to flow through these areas.

A crew is working to install a gas main beneath the Fenelon Falls River which is an important part of supplying natural gas to Fenelon Falls.

Kawartha 411 reports the first customer in the Fenelon Falls area - a home on County Road 121 was hooked up yesterday (Thursday Dec. 6) to natural gas.
