Kawartha Lakes OPP busy weekend

Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to over 150 calls for service last weekend, with officers assisting with 25 reports of wires down due to the weather on Friday evening.

On Saturday, a man was arrested after two separate reports of theft from businesses in Bobcaygeon.

Following an investigation 53 year old William Dohaney of Bobcaygeon was charged with two counts of theft Under $5000 and entering Premises When Entry Prohibited.  

On Sunday, police were called to investigate a complaint from an Omemee business.

43 year old Daniel Manley of Peterborough is facing charges of Theft Under $5000 and Failing to Comply with Probation

And a 62 year old Fenelon man is facing charges after Kawartha Lakes OPP were called regarding an alleged disturbance early Sunday morning.

Peter McDougald was charged with possession of Weapon For Dangerous Purpose, Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats Causing Death or Bodily Harm.
