Minimum wage protest in Lindsay today.

Workers will take to the streets in 20 cities across the province today to voice their support for raising the minimum wage.

Local protestors will be out from  11:00 AM - 1:00 PM - at the Lindsay Farmers' Market. They hope to send a message to local MPP and Minister of Labour Laurie Scott for provincial legislators to stick with a plan to increase the minimum wage in Ontario to 15 dollars an hour on January 1st.
They say big corporations are trying to convince the new Progressive Conservative government to repeal the Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act that came in under the previous Liberal government that raised the minimum wage.
