Roads in the City of Kawartha Lakes
The City of Kawartha Lakes has released a statement saying they recognize the condition of gravel roads in the municipality is making for difficult driving conditions.
The City says this past fall was a particularly challenging season for road maintenance with consistent wet weather which prevented road crews from carrying out scheduled grading of gravel roads.
They are monitoring road conditions and are ready to deploy equipment as soon as conditions allow.
Director of Public Works, Bryan Robinson states, in some cases, both gravel and asphalt road conditions are below what they consider acceptable and they are doing everything possible with the available resources to service the roads.
