Kawartha Lakes Police used a taser to arrest an alleged suspect who became violent while resisting arrest at a King Street apartment in Lindsay on Saturday afternoon.
The incident began when a resident of the apartment noticed their wallet had been stolen and their Mastercard had been used to make purchases in Lindsay.
Officers were able to identify the suspect and he was located at the back of the apartment building.
While being arrested he allegedly struggled violently with officers and a woman attempted to intervene to prevent the arrest.
34-year-old Adam Perry of Lindsay is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00, Using a Stolen Credit Card, Resisting Arrest and Escape Lawful Custody.
33-year-old Kristy Brobbel, also of Lindsay was charged with Obstructing a Police Officer.
