Woman faces charges after alleged shoplifting incident

A Lindsay woman faces charges after police allege she tried to take groceries without paying.
A Loblaws loss prevention officer called Kawartha Lakes Police after a woman escaped his custody following a an alleged shoplifting incident.  
Police say the accused left the store without paying for $275 worth of groceries.  She was approached by the loss prevention officer in the parking lot and the woman fled on foot, leaving the grocery cart and its contents behind.   
Officers located the woman walking on Kent Street West, a short distance from the store.  
Thirty-eight-year-old Heidi Pardy faces charges.
