  • Free Technology Workshops for Seniors

    The United Way City of Kawartha Lakes is offering FREE Technology Workshops for seniors in February and March! Wednesdays from 1 till 3pm at the Lindsay Legion. Topics include Intro to Computers 1 and 2; Tablets and iPads; Microsoft Suite; Social Media and Cyber Security. Learn to use Technology. Learn for free! Funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons Seniors Program. Some of the workshops require you to bring your own technology.   • 100 Kids Who Care Kawartha Lakes

    100 Kids Who Care Kawartha Lakes gives children the opportunity to learn about their community, empowers them to become advocates for organizations and issues that matter to them, learn the importance of giving back and how they can use their time, treasure and talent to make a difference and see the impact they can have right here at home in the City of Kawartha Lakes. At least 100 school-age (Kindergarten- Gr.12) kids in the Kawartha Lakes commit to attending three 1-hour meetings a year (October/February/April) At each meeting, kids donate $10 each to a local charity. The kids vote on the charity they would like to support.   • National Theatre School Drama Festival Mar 20 and 21

    National Theatre School Drama Festival. LCVI is hosting this year's Kawartha Regional National Theatre School Drama Festival at the Academy Theatre, Wednesday, March, 20th and Thursday, March 21st. Doors open at 6:30pm and the curtain rises at 7pm. Tickets are $5 and are valid for both evenings. Tickets are available at the door. LCVI, I.E.Weldon and Fenelon Falls will be participating in the festival. Come out and see our amazing student talent.

    The Axe of Awareness!! Lindsay Axe Club is hosting a fundraiser on March 24th to support the Don't Drive Distracted-I Pinky Swear Awareness Tour!! Three different time slots and only $35pp – anyone under 18yrs must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at The Pie Eyed Monk, VanHalterens Music Center, and The Coach & Horses!!
