Bruce Peninsula tremors explained

Looks like the tremors felt along the Bruce Peninsula earlier this week have been explained.

The official Sauble Beach Facebook page posted the explanation from their sources who report military training exercises across Lake Huron on the Michigan side.

There are hundreds of troops from around the world taking part in the military games.

Officials say the jets will break the sound barrier over the water, not land, and that's what's causing the tremors, vibrations and bangs that have been reported all along the top end of the Lake Huron shoreline.

Dock News received several calls starting Monday night asking about possible earthquakes.

The reports came in from Southampton all the way to the tip of the Peninsula at Cape Hurd.

The exercises are to continue until August 18th.
