Chatsworth man facing charges
Wellington County OPP have charged a Chatsworth man after setting up radar near Mount Forest.
Police were set up on Wellington Road 109 near Wellington Road 10 on Saturday afternoon when an officer observed a male driving 130 km/hr in an 80 zone.
When the officer pulled the suspect vehicle over, he noticed the odour of pot and booze.
He also spotted remnants of marijuana flakes on the console and a bottle of alcohol within reach of the driver.
The subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a large quantity of marihuana.
22-year-old Adam BARTH of Chatsworth has been charged with racing, possession of marijuana Over 30 grams and with having open liquor in the vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 9, 2018 to answer to the charges.
His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
