The Big Canoe is filling up fast.
Media Relations spokesperson Kalina Johnson tells Dock News between regular long weekend volume and the fire known as Parry Sound 33 threatening to close Highway 69 if its not controlled soon.
As of midweek the wildfire, which has now scorched 100 sqare km, was within 5km of the Trans Canada Highway and that has some travellers concerned that they may not get to where they're going if they don't take the ferry.
Johnson says they've received so many reservations this week, they were forced to temporarily take down their online booking option.
