Owen Sound police nab downtown drug dealer
On Tuesday September 11th, 2018, members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug and Criminal Investigation Branch arrested an Owen Sound man for trafficking the drug Fentanyl in the downtown core of Owen Sound.
Plain clothes officers observed the male traffic Fentanyl to a female, on the public sidewalk in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue East.
Plain clothes officers arrested the male and female a short time later.
Both were found to be in possession of powered Fentanyl.
The 25 year old Owen Sound man has been held for a bail hearing on Wednesday September 12th, 2018, and faces the following charges:
1. Trafficking – Fentanyl
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
3. Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime
4. Fail to Comply with an Officer in Charge Undertaking.
The 27 year old Owen Sound woman was charged for possession of Fentanyl and was released with a court date of October 18th, 2018.
The Owen Sound Police Service continue their efforts to get the potentially lethal drug, Fentanyl off city streets.
