South Bruce OPP search for suspect

On January 10, 2019 just before 8:30 a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP were investigating a suspect vehicle with one occupant at an address on Greenock-Elderslie Townline in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

During the investigation, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, striking two police cruisers and injuring an officer who managed to discharge his weapon at the suspect with unknown results.

The South Bruce OPP officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at hospital. 

Police continue to search for the both the suspect and the vehicle which is described as a Dodge 3500 Dually pickup truck, black in colour with bar lights on the top.

Members of the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit, with the assistance of OPP Emergency Response Team, Technical Collision Investigation  and Forensic Identification Services  continue to investigate.
