10th Street construction to wrap up Friday
Motorists trying to get from one end of Owen Sound to the other will be glad to hear that the construction on 10th Street West is on schedule to wrap up today.
As late as Thursday afternoon, city officials told Dock News the construction at 2nd Avenue was on schedule to wrap up at some point Friday afternoon.
They're hoping to have the road blocks at 1st and 3rd Avenues down by either mid or late afternoon.
Crews have been working there for more than two weeks as preparations continue for the replacement of the 10th Street bridge.
Construction was extended by one week.
This particular closure and the back ups its been causing, have been giving motorists a hint of what's to come when the bridge comes out in the fall.
