Alleged dog killer back in court
Another appearance this week for an alleged dog killer in Owen Sound.
23 year old Wyatt Sturgeon of Owen Sound will return to bail court Wednesday in connection with a bizarre incident last week that left a family pet dead.
Police got a call May 1st about a break in at a west end property while the owners were out.
When they returned, they found their house had been broken into and discovered blood inside the home.
Then they discovered their black lab Gus, severely injured in the back yard.
He was taken to a vet but did not survive the injuries.
Police say the dog was attacked with an axe.
The suspect and home owners did not know each other.
Sturgeon is facing a number of charges including animal cruelty.
