Hanover man on bike arrested


A man out for a leisurely Sunday morning bike ride in Hanover is now facing a number of charges.  

Police spotted the suspicious male just before 4am in a residential neighbourhood on 13th Ave and began talking to him.  

Their investigation revealed that he was in possession of two sets of stolen license plates, break and enter tools, gloves and a small amount of meth.

The 28 year old is facing a number of charges including two counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Break-in Instruments, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Breach of Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation.

Members of the public are encouraged to contact police and report any suspicious people on foot, on bicycles or in vehicles especially during the early morning hours in residential neighbourhoods. 

The Hanover Police Service continues to investigate a rash of break-ins to garden sheds in residential neighbourhoods and thefts from unlocked motor vehicles.
