OPP will patrol Sauble with bylaw officers this weekend
Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with South Bruce Peninsula Bylaw officers, will be patrolling Sauble Beach this long weekend looking for people who choose to participate in illegal and prohibited activities.
Grey Bruce OPP have been receiving complaints from the public that people are using the beach with disregard for the laws and bylaws that are in place to protect the public.
The top complaints received by both OPP and Bylaw has been, drinking alcohol, smoking tobacco or cannabis or using a BBQ, on the beach area.
During the last July long weekend OPP officers charged multiple people with having open liquor on the beach. Officers and bylaw officers will be patrolling on foot, bicycle and ATV this weekend.
