Property owner thwarts daylight break in

Owen Sound Police Service have made an arrest in a daylight break in. 

Just before 11:00am on Tuesday August 13th, the owner of an unoccupied residence located in the south east side of Owen Sound attended his property to check on it. 

Upon pulling into the driveway the owner observed two unknown vehicles on his property. 

He also observed two males exiting his garage with stolen items.

Police were able to arrest one of the suspects on scene without incident.  

The  second fled the property, running through a thick bush area. 

A 57 year old male from Meaford has been charged with Break Enter and Theft.

He will appear in court in Owen Sound on September 12th, 2019. 

An arrest warrant will be sought for the second suspect who's facing the same charges. 

All the stolen property was recovered at the scene.
