Stepped up police presence expected at JDSS this week after threat
The Hanover Police Service is actively investigating a threat of violence towards students at the John Diefenbaker Senior School in the Town of Hanover.
The threat consists of a written message located in a washroom stall that stated violence was taking place on Thursday, June 13th 2019.
The Hanover Police Service are working with school officials to ensure everyone is safe and will be increasing police presence in the coming days.
Police want to remind everyone that threats of violence are taken seriously and may result in criminal charges for those people that are identified as responsible.
Understandably parents are anxious after a note went home from the school.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Hanover Police investigators at 519-364-2411 as they continue to gather evidence and work to identify the source of the threat.
