Steve Strongman

HOMETOWN: Hamilton

Steve Strongman has a Juno award and several Maple Blues’ trophies on his shelf but is hardly a household name. His new album No Time Like Now may change all that. If you were a fan of 90’s Canadian rock bands you might have remembered him in bands like Kazzer & Plasticine. Strongman came out of Kitchener and got his blues education working in some of local clubs that booked some of the legends. Over the years he’s shared the stage with everyone from BB King to Gary Clarke  Jr. Now based out of Hamilton, Strongman has a string of solid albums. His new album seeks to push some boundaries on the traditional blues-rock formula.
