This morning the families of 9/11 victims will gather at Ground Zero in New York City to mark the 18th anniversary of the terror attacks.

President Trump will attend an observance at the Pentagon and Vice President Mike Pence will speak at a memorial service in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Major League Baseball will also mark the anniversary with tributes, special caps and base markers.

Fifteen games will be played tonight and each ballpark will hold a pre-game ceremony and hold a moment of silence to mark 9/11.

Closer to home, the Niagara on the Lake Chamber of Commerce will hold a memorial service in remembrance of the lives lost 18 years ago.

The hour long service is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Cenotaph on Queen Street.
