    Loving Spoonful's Grow-A-Row Campaign is in full bloom for 2018. Farmers and gardeners are encouraged to grow an extra row of food for people who cannot afford healthy food and to donate it to the program. Loving Spoonful volunteers deliver this harvest directly to more than 40 local agencies in our community and to Fresh Food Market Stands, creating thousands of healthy meals each growing season. You can donate at Sydenham St. United Church, Memorial Centre Farmers Market, and Kingston Public Market!

On Sunday,walk for someone you love at Kingston's Kidney Walk and become part of Canada’s largest community event dedicated to raising funds for kidney research and programs that help support Canadians living with kidney disease. The Kidney Walk is a great way for families, friends and colleagues to come together to show support for the 1 in 10 Canadians living with kidney disease. It’s where the kidney community gathers to show their unwavering commitment to kidney health and improved lives for all people touched by kidney disease.
  • United Way Campaign

    Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington - Kingston
    The United Way of KFL & A annual campaign is officially underway and this year’s goal is $3,456,000! This year’s campaign runs until November 29, with funds raised supporting a network of agencies throughout Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington. Last year, those agencies served 55,000 people in the area, addressing the needs of children and youth, physical and mental health services, poverty reduction, and neighbourhood revitalization.

    Montreal Canadien Alumni will face off against Our Nation’s Heroes team, made up of soldiers, veterans and civilian first responders in support of the Portraits of Honour Foundation. There will also be a number of organizations on site who will be available to speak about what they do for Veterans, Soldiers and civilian First Responders to affect change in the community and in the country. Tickets can be purchased through the Leon’s Centre.
