K9 Unit Helps Police Find Suspects in Rail Line Tampering

The K9 United helped police track down two men who have been charged with mischief over $5000 and theft in connection with wire tampering on local rail lines.

The trackers were called in after CN service workers found wires cut and removed from lines east of Findlay Station around noon Tuesday. The workers also found a truck abandoned in the area of a signal control building.

The K9 unit conducted a track that went for several hundred meters along the railway, over a fence, through a wooded area, and across a large open field, where the two men (aged 56 and 57, respectively) were located hiding in the bush line. They were arrested and taken back to police headquarters.
