Major Cocaine Bust in Kingston

Kingston Police will be sharing more details about a major cocaine trafficking bust during a news conference at police headquarters Tuesday morning.

Investigators started looking into the trafficking of cocaine in the city back in January. The force narrowed it down to two main suspects in the case.

Search warrants were executed at six different locations in the city back on Friday, February 22, and officers seized a large quantity of drugs, weapons, and cash. Specifically, officers found:

-Just under 2 kilograms of cocaine valued at $175,000

-Canadian currency

-Firearms and prohibited weapons.

Two vehicles, worth an estimated $25,000 were also seized. The force has charged Kevin John Harpell, 25, Angus William O'Neil, 21, and Carlos Gallardo-Rodriguez, 24, with more than 45 criminal charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance, and a number of firearms and prohibited weapon offences.
