Weapons Charge for Kingston Teen

A Kingston man, 19, is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and pointing a firearm in connection with a frightening incident Monday night.

Kingston Police responded to reports of a man pointing and firing a rifle from the second story of a Compton Street home around 7:00 pm. Witnesses claimed to have heard loud popping sounds as the accused pointed his firearm and yelled profanities and threats from the window.

Police arrived, and eventually the man threw the rifle, which turned out to be an air gun, out the window, and was arrested without further incident.
