4 Pounds of Pot Seized from Local 420 Store
A search warrant executed at Kingston's 420 store has lead to the arrest of two people.
On April 4, the Canada Border Services Agency obtained search warrants as a result of an investigation under the Customs Act and Plant Protection Act.
Kingston Police say roughly four pounds of marijuana was seized from the business at 736 Princess Street and the home of the accused on Friday morning.
The weed, which was in various forms of packaging, has an estimated street value of over $20,000.
The man, 34, and the woman, 32, were charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be laid.
