Alleged Bank Robber Arrested

A  Kingston man, 36, has been arrested in connection to Tuesday afternoon's robbery at the Scotia bank.

The man entered the bank around 1:05 p.m., handed a note to the teller demanding cash and then exited north through the parking lot.

Police say no weapon was used or seen in his possession and did release video surveillance of the suspect.

Officers were able to identify the accused and an investigation led Police to the Locks on Kingston Mills Road, where he was waiting to be picked up.

Police say he was arrested after he walked out from behind trees and buses towards an unmarked cruiser.

The man is charged with robbery, and breach probation.
