Antje McNeely Named Kingston's New Police Chief
The Kingston Police Services Board have named Antje McNeely as its new chief.
McNeely joined the force in 1985, and was promoted to Deputy Chief in 2011.
In 2012, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her volunteer work.
She will take over duties from Gilles Larochelle as Kingston's 17th chief of police, during a change of command ceremony on November 30.
McNeely also becomes the first woman to ever lead the service.
