Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
A Kingston man wanted for attempted murder is now in Police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Jason Douglas Serson, 38, was on the run for nearly 10 hours before he was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with attempted murder, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon.
Police say the attack early yesterday morning was pre-meditated.
It's alleged that Serson attended an apartment in the 600 Block of Division Street and asked the victim to cook him a meal.
While the victim was occupied, Police say the accused pulled out a knife from his waist area and stabbed the victim nine times in the chest and back area.
The victim's wife grabbed a frying pan to intervene and the suspect fled on foot.
The victim remains in hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.
